Why are your prices so much lower than your competitors'?

To appreciate the value we offer we'd very much encourage you to look at our competitors' sites. In some cases their start up fee alone is more than it would cost to keep your page on our site for one year.
So how do we afford such a price difference? Unlike our competitors we are not a franchise. This dramatically reduces our overheads from the start. Secondly by focussing our advertising in the Shirley area we ensure that our resources are used to attract customers to the site who find your business relevant to them.

How do you differ from a standard directory listings service?

We don't just list your business, we offer you your own page to tell people about your business.  A virtual shop window if you will.  We will do our best to style this to match your company's brand. What information we  include on the page is entirely up to you.  

How much does it cost to join?

We will design your page and promote it on our website for £99 a year - that's less than £2 per week!  There are no extra hidden charges and what's more we guarantee you this rate for as long as you remain subscribed to ShirleyBusiness.co.uk no matter how our charges to new subscribers change.
With your permission we will let you know about opportunities to further promote your business on our site (e.g. promoting sales, offering vouchers etc). Taking part in any of these promotions is entirely optional and you can opt out of our mailing list at any time.

What if I want updates to my page in the future?

Simple changes such as a change in opening hours, contact details and even adding an occasional photo we will carry out free of charge (to a maximum one every 3 months). More significant changes (such as changing the whole look and feel of the page) will be charged at £5 per half hour spent with the total cost being capped at £30.
If you are making changes that are to promote a time limited sale or special offer if you are able to offer a voucher/offer customers who visit ShirleyBusiness we may be able offer a significant discount to the above fee and even promote your offer around our site and on our advertising media.

Can I design my own page?

Absolutely!  You can have as much, or as little control over how your page looks.  You can  fill out our online form or send an email giving us a description of how you want your page to look.  Here you will also have the option to include your logo and any photographs you want including.  Alternatively, for the creative and technically minded, if you already have a page you want adding , email us a zip file  with the HTML file, images etc inside and we will use these to upload onto our site.
